When a letter from Farmer Carl invites Percy and Bertie to Ben Carrock Farm, Percy is excited but a little unsure about such a busy new place. With Bertie beside him, he meets Miss Abbie, Hamish the Highland cow, Sophie the sheep and her curious little lamb, Pip. As they discover the rhythms of farm life and lend a paw with the daily jobs, everything begins to feel friendlier. But when a storm rolls in and Pip goes missing, Percy must listen carefully, step forward and find the courage to help his new friend. A gentle adventure about kindness, growing in confidence and discovering that unfamiliar places can soon begin to feel like home.

Percy and Bertie are off on a new adventure.

When a letter arrives from Farmer Carl inviting them to visit Ben Carrock Farm, Percy is excited, but a little unsure too. Farms sound busy, noisy and very big.

With Bertie by his side, Percy meets Farmer Carl, Miss Abbie, Hamish the Highland cow, Sophie the sheep and her curious little lamb, Pip. Bit by bit, the farm begins to feel friendlier.

But when a storm rolls in and Pip goes missing, Percy must find the courage to step forward, listen carefully and help his new friend.

Farmer Carl

Farmer Carl is kind, steady and always busy, but never too busy to explain how things work. He welcomes Percy and Bertie to Ben Carrock Farm and shows them that farm life begins early, involves hard work, and always brings something new to learn.

Miss Abbie

Miss Abbie is kind, cheerful and always ready to lend a hand. She helps with the animals and the daily jobs at Ben Carrock Farm, and she makes Percy and Bertie feel welcome from the moment they arrive.

Mrs Honeywell

Mrs Honeywell is Farmer Carl’s aunty and a familiar friend to Percy and Bertie. Warm, welcoming and always ready with something delicious, she joins them again at Ben Carrock Farm for a very special part of their visit.

Hamish

Hamish is a magnificent Highland cow with a calm nature and a very impressive set of horns. He may look rather grand, but he’s friendly too, and Percy and Bertie soon discover that first impressions don’t always tell the whole story.

Sophie

Sophie is a gentle ewe and Pip’s mum, watching over her flock with quiet patience. She helps Percy and Bertie understand a little more about farm life, and about the care and responsibility that come with looking after others.

Pip

Pip is Sophie’s young lamb, with plenty to learn and a brave little heart. His story reminds Percy and Bertie that growing in confidence often begins with small steps, a bit of encouragement, and somebody willing to believe in you.
